is known as a “synthetic grass”.
It is not an indoor/outdoor carpet
and it is not a product intended for
an athletic field or general public
use. It is a product and installation
system specifically designed and market
intended for “residential lawns
and commercial feature landscapes”.
is
manufactured and installed under patent
protected licenses and copyrights
and is intended to mirror and replicate
what is often referred to as “natural
grass”. The general product
specifications were invented more
than 20 years ago for use in very
specialized circumstances. They have
only been recently been modified so
as to become affordable to the general
public.
product can be demonstrated, over
time, to pay for itself in comparison
to the installation and maintenance
costs of what is often referred to
as a “natural grass lawn”.
is installed directly upon prepared
natural earth. The tufted blades,
that are woven into a composite “backing”,
are “BLOOMED” to approximate
the look, feel and texture of grass.
Upon the backing, and filling the
space between the blades, there is
then deposited a mixed/layered recipe
of sand and rubber known as “In-Fills”.
This is accomplished through a process
known as “FIBRILLATION”.
The In-Fills serve several engineering
purposes, but mostly provide an appearance
and surface texture that is consistent
with the natural soils evident beneath
blades of grass.
